Tasks once done by people are automated, and new occupations are created, changing the abilities required of workers. Therefore, not only companies but also individuals are now expected to maintain a continuous learning attitude. Opportunities such as online courses and night schools are being developed so people can study while working. On the other hand, some people feel it is difficult to start relearning due to time and cost constraints. Others feel anxious about studying again at an older age. However, the purpose of relearning is not necessarily limited to changing jobs or getting promotions. The joy of learning new things and expanding one’s possibilities are also valuable outcomes.
