To carry out work smoothly, it is essential to share necessary information instead of making decisions alone. However, some people think they can report everything later because they are busy. As a result, small problems may be overlooked and later develop into major troubles. On the other hand, frequent reporting and consultation allow people to receive advice from others and correct problems at an early stage. It is also common to gain perspectives one had not noticed before. In workplaces where information is well shared, it is easier to understand each other’s situations, and unnecessary work and misunderstandings tend to decrease. As a result, overall team efficiency improves. What is important is not aiming for perfect reports, but conveying necessary information at the right timing. Accumulating small daily communications leads to building trust.
